‘AMBICON-2017’ commemorative volume released

Mysuru: The three-day 25th annual conference of Medical Bio-chemists AMBICON-2017, organised by the Association of Medical Bio-chemists of India (AMBI) commenced at Lalitha Mahal Palace Hotel here on Nov.17.

Inaugurating the conference, Dr. C.N. Manjunath, Director of Jayadeva Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences and Research, Bengaluru, said that a doctor’s profession was a very stressful job with patients having a lot of expectations. He observed that India has become a global capital for many diseases and added that the living style of people too was a contributory factor.

Suttur Seer Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji, along with Dr. C.N. Manjunath, Director of Jayadeva Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences and Research, Bengaluru and others, seen during the release of ‘AMBICON-2017’ commemorative volume at Lalitha Mahal Palace Hotel in city on Nov.17.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. K.S. Ravindranath, former Vice-Chancellor of Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, observed that many students were not showing interest towards Bio-chemistry and added that research too was insufficient in that field.

Dr. Bharathi received the charge of AMBI President from the outgoing incumbent Dr. Pragna B. Dolia.

The annual commemorative volume ‘AMBICON-2017’ and  a book linking Biochemistry and Mathematics were released on the occasion.

Suttur Seer Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji graced the occasion.

In-charge MMC&RI Dean and Director Dr. Radhamani, AMBICON Chairman Dr. V. Govindaraj, Organising Secretary Dr. M.N. Suma, Hon. Secretary Dr. Shanthi K. Naidu and others were present on the occasion.
