Mysore/Mysuru: Commissioner of Revenue Directorate C.N. Meena Nagaraj has notified the amendments made to Karnataka Land Revenue Act 1964, which is aimed at simplifying the process related to conversion of lands from agriculture to non-agricultural purposes.
Under Rules 106C, 106D, 106E and 106F of Karnataka Land Revenue Act 1964, effective from Dec. 23, 2025, if the Deputy Commissioner (DC) fails to decide on affidavit based applications for land conversion within 30 working days of submitting the same, auto conversion of lands will be applicable and will be transferred to applicants login for paying stipulated fee. Following payment of the fee, the land conversion order will be automatically created by the software.
Accordingly, Tahsildars, Forest Department and other departments shall have a 15-day time to give their opinion. Likewise, case worker at DC Office will be having a five-day time so also the Additional DC and DC to decide on such applications.
