Amrutha Murthy (74), wife of music critic late S.R. Krishnamurthy (SRK) and a resident of Bogadi, passed away at a private hospital in Yelahanka, Bengaluru, in the wee hours of today. Amrutha had met with a road accident near Yelahanka at about 8.15 am yesterday and was admitted to the private hospital, where she succumbed to injuries in the wee hours of today.

She leaves behind two sons, one daughter and a host of relatives and friends. The body was brought to her residence in Mysuru in the afternoon and last rites were held at Chirashantidhama in Gokulam later in the day today.
