Andhra real estate agent accused of demolishing houses

January 3, 2018

Mysuru: An Andhra-based real estate agent has been accused of illegally demolishing five houses at Koppaluru village in the taluk.

Sudhara Rao, Jeevan, Jayamma, Leelavathi and Varalakshmi, all residents of Koppaluru village, in a complaint lodged with the Mysuru South Police, said that they were living in houses built on the land that they had purchased from the original owner in 1994. But Andhra-based real estate agent Shankar Naidu was out to usurp the land by creating fake documents, following which they moved the Court. The Court, which heard their petition, granted a stay in their favour.

Despite the stay order, Shankar Naidu had illegally demolished their houses, thus throwing them to the street, the complaint said.

Mysuru South Police, who have registered a case in his regard, are investigating.
