Bengaluru: A man, who got angry on his in-laws for not gifting gold ornaments to his wife, burgled his in-laws’ house in Ulsoor and is now cooling his heels in the Police Station.
The man, identified as Pradeep Kumar, had married the daughter of Mani and Regina, despite opposition. He was upset and angry on his in-laws for not supporting him when he faced financial problems, which prompted him to ‘take what his wife deserved.’
Pradeep had made away with 70 grams gold jewellery and about 1 kg of silver articles from his in-laws’ house.
On Oct. 30, Pradeep, who came to his in-laws’ house on Car Street fully drunk, shouted, “I am the son-in-law. Who can stop me from entering the house?” He then broke open the locked door of his in-laws’ house as neighbours watched.
Meanwhile, one of the neighbours of Mani and Regina couple tried to contact them over the phone but was unsuccessful due to network issues as the couple were on a tour to Kanyakumari. But, when Mani and Regina returned the next morning, they found the door forcibly opened and on entering the house and inspecting it, they found gold ornaments and silver articles missing and lodged a Police complaint.
The Police, who swung into action, arrested Pradeep and have recovered 47 grams gold ornaments from him.
