ANI Foundation holds dental camp for Bandipur campus staff

July 1, 2019

Mysuru: ANI Foundation conducted a free dental check-up camp under its Swachh Mukh Abhiyan (Clean Mouth Mission) for 42 staff members and families of Bandipur Forest campus and also 18 tribal students, recently.

In the camp held at the Campus auditorium, drivers of the safari vehicles, Anti-poaching staff, guards, watchers and their family members participated in the dental camp and underwent treatment. Most of them had their teeth filled as they suffered from tooth decay and the dentists removed the teeth of a few of them. But almost all of them got their teeth cleaned.

As the dentists realised that the Forest staff and their families cannot come to the hospital for treatment, the ANI Foundation dentists had got the instruments and the machines from Mysuru to Bandipur for treating the patients.

Ashram School children: Finding that there were 18 students of Girijan Ashram School in Bandipur campus studying in standards first to fifth, the Foundation got the students to the camp and treated them. It was found that many students suffered from tooth decay and their teeth were filled and cleaned.

Bandipur Tiger Project Director T. Balachandra said that the concern shown by the dentists of ANI Foundation towards the Forest Department and its staff was indeed laudable.

Dentist Dr. Nisarga Kansar said that the Clean Mouth Mission was being undertaken at Mysuru and Mandya districts for Government School students. Already hundreds of students had undergone dental check-up and treatment. Likewise, the staff of the Forest Department has also been treated through the ANI Foundation, she added.

Meanwhile, Nalini and her team members, who are conducting awareness campaign regarding the protection of wildlife in Bannerghatta distributed an apple and pomegranate to each one participating in the camp.

Dr. N. Chaitra, Dr. N. Prathiba, Range Forest Officer (RFO) Srinivas, DRFO Shivakumar, Mahesh, and staff Chandrashekar, Shivanand and others were present.
