Annual Celebrations at Sri Ramakrishna Ashrama

The Annual Celebrations of Sri Ramakrishna Ashrama, Yadayagiri, will be held at its premises from Feb. 24 to 27 and the 182nd birth anniversary of Bhagavan Sri Ramakrishna will be celebrated on Feb. 28. Programmes are as follows:

Shivaratri on Feb. 24

5.45 pm to 6.45 pm: Girija Kalyana – Musical Rendition by Vanivadiraj and party; 7.30 pm to 8.15 pm: Arati to Lord Shiva & Special Bhajans.

Swami Vivekananda Day on Feb. 25

9 am to 1 pm: Youth Retreat for Degree College Girls; Talk 1: Swami Anupamanandaji, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission, Tirupati [Topic: Swami Vivekanandaru Bayasida Sevege Siddhariruvira?]; Talk 2: Chakravarthy Sulibele, well-known orator [Subject: Naari Dhanyatege Daari]; 2 pm to 5 pm: Youth Retreat for Degree College Boys; Talk 1: Swami Anupamanandaji [Subject: Niswartha Seve Saadhyave?]; Talk 2: Chakravarthy Sulibele [Subject: Dheeratanave Naijabala]; 6 pm to 7.30 pm: Special Bhajan by Ramakrishna Hari Bhajana Mandali, Chennai.

Holy Mother Sarada Devi Day on Feb. 26

9 am to 1 pm: Devotees’ Retreat; Talk 1: Swami Anupamanandaji [Subject: Sangha Janani Sri Sarada Devi]; Talk 2: Poshini, Communications Expert, Forest Plus, Shivamogga [Subject: Mamateya Madilu Srimaate].

6 pm to 8 pm: Hindustani Classical Vocal recital by Pt. Nagaraj Rao Havaldar, accompanied by Omkarnath Havaldar (vocal), Sameer Havaldar (harmonium) and Kedarnath Havaldar (tabla).

150th birth anniversary of Sister Nivedita

10.30 am to 1 pm: Narayana Seva; Benediction by Swami Nityasthanandaji, Sri Ramakrishna Ashrama, Mysuru.

6 pm to 8 pm: Katha Keertana: Bhagavan Sri Ramakrishna – Suramani Sri Dathathreya Velankar.

Sri Ramakrishna Jayanti on Feb. 28

5.15 am: Vedic Chanting, Arati & Bhajans; 7 am: Puja; 8.30 am: Vishnu Sahasranama; 9.15 am: Bhajans by students of Sri Ramakrishna Vidyashala; 10.35 am: Reading; 10.45 am: Arati; 11.00 am: Homa; 12 noon: Prasad Distribution; 4 pm: Bhajans by Sumana Bhajana Mandali; 5 pm: Bhajans by Sri Kundana Nagendra; 6 pm: Discourse in Kannada – ‘Bhagavan Sri Ramakrishna’; 7 pm: Arati & Bhajans.
