Mysuru: JSS Hospital in association with JSS Academy of Higher Education & Research (JSSAHER) had organised the 4th Annual Conclave of Hospital Administrators of Private Medical College Hospitals – HACON 2019 here in city recently.
Following the 1st HACON in 2016 at KMC, Manipal, two annual conclaves were held successfully in MGMCRI, Puducherry and MS Ramaiah Medical College Hospital, Bengaluru.
HACON has now evolved as a strong platform for leaders and administrators across the Medical College Hospitals to come together and discuss, collaborate and conceive strategies to successfully manage Medical College Hospitals, which have a unique identity in the healthcare sector.
The future of healthcare is governed by fast paced change combined with rising demand for cost-effective quality care. The quintessential need for strong vision in leadership, balancing technology with cost and maintaining sustainable growth in the face of uncertainty cannot be overlooked. Hence, this year the Conclave aimed at throwing light on some of these aspects and bring together different perspectives in leadership, to aid in adopting or evolving strategies for private healthcare institutes.
Over 120 delegates, Hospital Administrators and aspiring students participated in the event from all across the country. Delegates presented top innovations, case studies and other issues and challenges faced by Private Medical Colleges in the country.
The event was inaugurated by Dr. P.V. Vijayaraghavan, Vice- Chancellor, Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research, Chennai.
Dr. C.G. Betsurmath, Executive Secretary, JSS Mahavidyapeetha, delivered the presidential address for HACON 2019.
Dignitaries Dr. (Col.) M. Dayananda, Director, JSS Hospital, Dr. M. Guruswamy, Medical Superintendent, JSS Hospital, Dr. J.N. Rao, Professor and Head of the Department, Hospital Administration, JSSAHER and Dr. Mamtha, Incharge – Department of Health System Management Studies, JSSAHER, were present on the occasion.
