Annual Kite Flying Competition tomorrow

Mysuru Veerashaiva Sajjana Sangha will be organising its 23rd Annual Kite Flying contest on July 21 at the Helipad located next to Hotel Lalitha Mahal Palace at 2.30 pm. The event will be inaugurated by Dr. K.M. Nagashree of Vidya Dental Care. Mysuru City Corporation Commissioner Shilpa Nag will be the chief guest. Mysuru Veerashaiva Sajjana Sangha President M.N. Jai Prakash will be present. The organisers will also felicitate D.P. Nagaraj of Nanjangud on the occasion. The competition will be conducted in five categories: 1. Attractive Kites (two divisions), 2. Biggest in size (one division), 3. Kites that go farther than other kites, 4. Kites with tails and 5. Kites without tails. The organisers have announced a special prize for the most attractive kite. Interested must register their names within 2 pm at the venue. The prize distribution will be held at 4 pm the same day.
