None from Mysuru make it to the list; Amateur Artistes Association condemns Academy’s decision

Mysuru: Mysuru Amateur Artistes Association has condemned the Karnataka Nataka Academy for failing to  recognise the services of theatre artistes from Mysuru district while announcing the Annual Nataka Academy Awards for the year 2019-20.  Association Secretary B. Rajesh, in a press release, has said that Mysuru being home for many renowned theatre artistes had been contributing for theatre and its growth over the past few decades. Unfortunately, the Academy has turned a blind eye towards Mysuru thus hurting the sentiments of all theatre persons in the district.

The Association has accused the Academy Chairman and its Members for the step-motherly treatment towards theatre persons in Mysuru and has also urged the Academy not to indulge in such acts in future.
