The 34th Annual Sports Day was of St. Matthias School in Bannimantap was held yesterday. The event was inaugurated by Directorate of Civil Rights Enforcement SP A.K. Suresh by hoisting the school flag.

Bishop of Mysore Rev. Fr. K.A. William, Priest In-charge Rev. Fr. Vijay Kumar, St. Joseph Central School Principal Rev. Fr. Jomi, Virgin of the Poor Church Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Bernard Prakash, Divine Mercy Church Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Anthony Swamy were present.

School Head Mistress (Nursery) Vida Vaz welcomed the guests while High School Head Mistress Metilda Samuel presented the School report. The event began with March past by students of Nursery, Primary and High School.

The School Sports Captain carried the Sports Torch around the sports field and students took an oath.

The school also felicitated Fr. K.A. William on being elected as the new Bishop of Mysore.
