Anti-party activities BJP issues notice to MLA

April 8, 2024

Bengaluru: Taking exception to the party’s Yeshwanthpur MLA S.T. Somashekar’s frequent meetings with the ruling Congress leaders and his open support for the Congress in the LS polls, the BJP has issued a notice to Somashekar asking him to explain his anti-party activities.

Addressing newspersons in Bengaluru on Sunday, Opposition Leader in the State Assembly R. Ashoka said that Somashekar, who was elected from Yeshwanthpur Constituency on a BJP ticket in the 2023 Assembly polls, has announced his support for the Congress candidates in the LS polls.

As such, the MLA has been served a notice asking him to explain his actions and anti-party activities, he said adding that Somashekar, who is a BJP MLA,  would soon realise his follies.

It may be mentioned here that Somashekar had served as a Minister in the previous BJP Government and also as Mysuru District in-Charge Minister.
