APMC bandh tomorrow

Following a Statewide bandh call by traders to oppose levy of 5% GST on branded food products, traders at the APMC market at Bandipalya on Nanjangud Road here will observe a bandh tomorrow (July 15).

Contending that the 5% GST on packaged food products is a burden on traders and the consumers, APMC Traders Association Secretary R. Anand said that the APMC will be completely shut tomorrow in protest against the Government decision and there will be no trading. Meanwhile, Mysore Chamber of Commerce and Industry has extended support to the bandh, according to MCCI President K.B. Lingaraju.
