Applications invited for organic farming scheme

The Agriculture Department has invited applications from eligible land holder social organisations for implementation of the State Government’s new organic farming promotion scheme at the District-level in order to provide healthy and toxic-free agricultural and horticultural farm produce to the population.

The applicant organisations should own a minimum of 10 hectare cultivable land and should be running Goshalas. Organisations which have reached an understanding with the jurisdictional Agricultural University and those with past experience of having worked with the State Government for organic farming promotion, are given priority.

The applications must be submitted to the Office of the Joint Director of Agriculture before June 22.  For more details, call Mob: 82779-33162.
