Applications invited from SC/ST candidates for Journalism apprenticeship

The Department of Information and Public Relations has invited applications from qualified and eligible SC and ST candidates for a ten-month apprenticeship training (2021-22) in the field of Journalism and Media. The admission is for 2 seats for SC category and 1 seat for ST category candidates.

The candidates will be selected based on merit and through an interview. Each of the selected candidate will be provided a monthly stipend of Rs.15,000.

The applicants must be a Graduate or Post-Graduate Degree holder in Journalism, with preference for Post-Graduates. Also, the candidates must have adequate computer knowledge and be proficient in Kannada language. The upper age limit is 40 years. Interested candidates can apply at the Office of Deputy Director of Information and Public Relations Department, Vartha Bhavan, Dhanvanthri road, Mysuru, before Oct.30, according to a press release.
