Bengaluru: Nearly a fortnight after the Congress named its Sidlaghatta MLA V.Muniyappa as the Chief Minister’s Political Secretary, CM H.D. Kumaraswamy on Monday signed the order appointing him to the post.

Muniyappa was also among the list of Congress Legislators, who were appointed as Chairmen of various Boards and Corporations recently.

Although the CM signed the order appointing most of those in the list submitted by the Congress, the CM had not given consent for Muniyappa’s appointment as Political Secretary.  But now as the Opposition BJP has renewed its ‘Operation Lotus’, HDK signed Muniyappa’s appointment as Political Secretary.
