Mysore/Mysuru: Karnataka Muktaka Sahitya Academy Trust has appointed Senior Scholar Prof. N. Girigowda as General Secretary of the Trust, according to a press release from Trust Chairman S. Ramaprasad.

Prof. Girigowda has served as the President of Mysuru Kannada Sahitya Parishat. He has also worked as Principal of Vijaya First Grade College, Pandavapura and served as the President of Pandavapura Taluk Kannada Sahitya Parishat, Venkatagiri Prakashana and Sri Venkatagiri Charitable Trust.

His students and well-wishers have brought out felicitation volumes in his honour including ‘Girisiri’, ‘Shatamanada Belaku,’ ‘Manikya Deepti’ and ‘Aparupada Aparanji.’
