Hunsur: Senior Officer Vani V. Alva has been appointed as the new Commissioner of Hunsur City Municipal Council (CMC). She replaces Shivappa Nayaka, who has been transferred.

Vani, who is currently serving as Municipal Officer at Someshwara Town Municipal Council in Dakshina Kannada district, had served as Hunsur CMC Commissioner for a short period of two-and-a-half months during the 2019 Lok Sabha polls. Now, the new posting would be her second stint of service in Hunsur.
