Bengaluru: Congress MLA from Aland in Kalaburagi district, B.R. Patil, who had recently quit as Political Advisor to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, has been now appointed as the Vice-Chairman of Karnataka State Planning Commission, with a Cabinet rank status.
The Department of Planning, Programme Monitoring and Statistics on Monday issued a notification appointing B.R. Patil as Vice-Chairman of Planning body.
Patil, a 4-time MLA, who was upset after failing to find a Cabinet berth, was appointed as a Political Advisor to the CM, which post he quit on Feb. 1, expressing disappointment over the functioning of the Government.
