Mysuru:  Based on the direction from Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) President Dr.G. Parameshwara, the District Congress Committee (DCC) has announced various election committees to oversee poll campaigns in the district.

The DCC has also set up a control room in the City Congress office located near the City Railway Station.

The DCC has named seven  District Congress Committee Vice-Presidents including R. Prakash Kumar and Prof. K.C. Shivakumar and B.N. Deepak Raj as General Secretary.

The other appointees are H.L. Basavaraj Nayaka as General Secretary of Election-Co-ordination Committee, Nandini Chandrashekar, Geetha and 12 others as Election Wing Chief Co-ordinators, P. Girish and Rekha Venkatesh.
