Appointed to Mysuru City (Dist.) Wakf Board Advisory Committee

Mysore/Mysuru: Ten from Mysuru City are among 20 persons who have been appointed to Mysuru City (District) Wakf Board Advisory Committee, Mysuru, by order from the Chief Executive Officer of Karnataka State Wakf Board, Bengaluru, on Jan. 21.

The newly appointed from Mysuru city are as follows: Abdul Rehaman (Babu) – Vice-Chairman; Irfan Ahmed, Jamal Shareef, Nisar Ahmed Ansari, N.K. Kamal Pasha, Junaid Ahmed, M.A.K. Nazeer, Abdul Shukoor, Mudassir Pasha and Waseem Pasha – all Members.

The first meeting of Mysuru City (Dist.) Wakf Board Advisory Committee was held on Feb. 4 at the Office of the District Wakf Advisory Committee, Muslim Boys Orphanage premises on New Sayyaji Rao Road in city under the newly elected Chairman Ilyas Ahmed and Wakf Board officials.

Meeting began with the recital of verses from the Holy Quran by Committee Member Abdul Shacoor and reading of Nath Shariff (phrases of prophet) by Nisar Ahmed Ansari. The Chairman, Vice-Chairman and all the members were felicitated  on the occasion.

Topics such as Delegation of special powers to the District Wakf Officer for registration of Wakf properties in the district; Board’s circular on constitution of Managing Committee below one lakh income; Creating awareness of Ayushman Bharath-Arogya Karnataka Health Scheme to Pesh Imams, Mouzans and Khadims; Framing of regulations for betterment of service conditions of Pesh Imams, Mouzzins and Khadims who serve in Masajids; Restructuring of Annual Wakf Contribution payable to Karnataka State Board of Auqaf under Section 72 of the Wakf Act, 1995 and Maintaining Register containing residential proof of all Muslims residing in Mysuru District (NRC) were among other topics that were discussed   at the meeting. Chairman Ilyas Ahmed proposed vote of thanks.
