‘Arivu Neravu’ centre for women

In order to prevent growing atrocities against women and children, the Women and Child Welfare Department has set up ‘Arivu-Neravu’ information centre near Cheluvamba Hospital in  city. The Centre, established in association with RBI at a cost of Rs. 19 lakh under CSR funding, will educate the public who visit Cheluvamba Hospital on the provisions of D.V. Act, POCSO Act etc., and also on Government schemes and projects for the welfare of women and children according to a release.
