Mysore/Mysuru: ‘Arthika Spandana,’ an initiative of the Co-operation Department for extending loan facilities under various Central and State Government schemes, programmes and plans for farmers, small traders, micro industrial entrepreneurs etc., who are in distress due to COVID-19 crisis, will take place in Mysuru on Oct. 2. District Minister S. T. Somashekar chaired a meeting in this regard at the new DC’s Office in city on Sunday.
Joint Registrar of Co-operative Societies Prakash Rao said that the programme which is going to take place at Kalamandira, will commence at 9 am. The Mysuru revenue division comprises eight districts — Mysuru, Hassan, Mandya, Chamarajanagar, Kodagu, Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Chikkamagalur — and the District Co-operative Banks and Milk Unions of all these districts will be taking part in the event, he said.
Pointing out that beneficiary Co-operative Societies will get loans up to Rs. 30 lakh, Prakash Rao said that those engaged in non-agricultural activities such as Dairy Farming and Pisciculture too are eligible for loans.
MP Pratap Simha, MLA L. Nagendra, DC B. Sharat (now transferred), MCDCC Bank President G.D. Harish gowda, ZP CEO D. Bharathi, ADC B.S. Manjunathaswamy and other officials were present.
