Mysuru: In a reported incident, a powerline snap has resulted in damage to electrical and electronic gadgets in over 120 households in Bamboo Bazar on Saturday.

The mishap is said to have occurred when the neutral wire of an electric pole on second main road in Bamboo Bazar snapped.

The snapping of the wire triggered a series of short circuits is over 120 households, causing damages to electrical gadgets in the houses. The loss is estimated at lakhs of rupees.

The residents, attributing the mishap to poor quality of power cables, demanded appropriate compensation from CESC for the losses that they have suffered.
