Artiste’s presence of mind saves children at ‘Chinnara Mela’

May 8, 2019

Mysuru:  A senior artiste displayed presence of mind and saved several children from potential injuries during the Chinnara Mela at Rangayana in city yesterday.

Artiste K.R. Nandini, was preparing for a performance when she sensed that a branch of a tree could fall due to high wind and gale that lashed city for sometime. She immediately rushed towards the children and pushed them in the nick of time even as the branch came crashing down. In the process, Nandini was injured and was shifted to Kamakshi Hospital for treatment.

Chinnara Mela is a popular camp run by Rangayana every year during summer holidays, and Tuesday was the valedictory of the camp.
