Mysuru: Anti-Sabotage Check (ASC) teams, along with Dog Squads and Bomb Squads, conducted security checks along Jumboo Savari route and at Mysore Palace this morning as part of Dasara security arrangements.

City Police have deployed four teams to scan the route from Palace to Torchlight Parade Grounds in Bannimantap using hand-held Deep Search Metal Detectors.

The first team checks the stretch from Mysore Palace to Government Ayurveda College and Hospital Circle, while the second covers the stretch from Old RMC to the same Circle.

The third team checks the route from Old RMC Junction to Moulana Abul Kalam Azad Circle and the fourth covers the stretch from there to the Parade Grounds.

Apart from checking roads, the teams inspect buildings on procession route and Dasara venues to rule out possible threats. The checks will be carried out daily until the conclusion of Dasara.
