ASHA workers to lay siege to CM’s residence on July 27

Mysore/Mysuru: Strongly condemning Government’s inaction, the Accredited Social Health Activists (ASHA) are going to lay siege to Chief Minister B. S. Yediyurappa’s residence in Bengaluru on July 27.

Addressing a press meet at Pathrakarthara Bhavan this morning, All India United Trade Union Centre (AIUTUC) District Secretary Chandrashekar Meti said, “As our demands have not been met, we have decided to intensify our agitation. ASHA workers are going to lay siege CM’s residence as well as Deputy Commissioner’s Offices in all the 30 districts of the State on July 27.”

“Some health officials have falsely stated that ASHA workers are currently drawing honorarium of Rs. 10,000,” he rued.

Karnataka Rajya Samyukta ASHA Karyakarteyara Sangha District President Shubha Mangala, members Komala and Suneeta were present at the press meet.
