Dr. Varsha S. Puranik from city, representing India in the just concluded Jakarta Asian Games 2018 in the Women’s Roller Skating event, secured the eighth place in the 20km Road Race. Taipei’s Li Mengchu won gold with a timing of 44:50.992s. Guo Dan of China secured silver (44:50.992s), while Taipei’s Yang Hochen secured bronze (44:51.68s). Varsha Puranik finished eighth with a timing of 44:53.340s.
