Five students of Vivekananda Yoga Education and Research Institution were felicitated by Mysuru District Yoga and Sports Foundation (MDYSF) at a function held at Pathrakarthara Bhavan in city on Sunday.
Yoga students who were felicitated include H. Kushi, who secured 4 gold and a silver medal. She is the daughter of Hemachandra, an RBI employee and Kumuda couple. R. Ankita (a gold medal), daughter of Ravi. K. Vignesh (four silver medals), son of Nagalakshmi, a Yoga teacher and Kumar, an employee of Automotive Axels. Anjali Bhaskar (one silver and one bronze) daughter of Bhaskar and Hema couple and Amulya Narayan (one silver and one bronze) daughter of Narayan and Asha couple.
The institute also felicitated Dr. P.N. Ganesh, who had accompanied the Indian team to Singapore where the championship was held. Sucharita Mataji of Vivenkanada Centre, Kanyakumari, Government Ayurveda College Medical Superintendent Dr. H.A. Shashirekha, Vivenkananda Foundation Organising Secretary Geeta Kumar, Convenor Raghavendra, DIET Senior Lecturer S. Swamy were present.
