Assault on Head Constable: Absconding rowdy-sheeter arrested

Mysuru: A rowdy-sheeter, who had assaulted a Head Constable and a Home Guard for asking him to close the shop which was opened beyond the stipulated business time has been arrested by Devaraja Police.

The arrested rowdy-sheeter is Somashekar alias Soma. Somashekar, his brother Chandrashekar and sister Latha runs a fast food shop opposite Maharani’s PU College. They had opened the shop even after 11 pm on Oct. 19, which is beyond the stipulated business time given by the Police. When Head Constable Manjunath and a Home Guard from Devaraja Police Station, asked them to close the shop, they assaulted them and had fled from the spot.

Devaraja Inspector Prasanna Kumar, who had registered a case, arrested Chandrashekar on the same day and had launched a hunt to nab Somashekar and Latha. The Cops who were successful in nabbing Somashekar are on the lookout for Latha who is still absconding.
