Mysore/Mysuru: The Registrar of Co-operative Societies has allowed Associations, Organisations, Societies etc., which have failed to file their audited accounts, to renew their registration till June 2024.
Under the Karnataka State Co-operative Institutions Act, all Co-operative Societies are required to file their accounts every year. But it has been found that some Societies have failed to submit their audited accounts for more than five years.
Taking into consideration the interests of the members of such Societies, it has been decided to allow renewal of registration of defaulting Societies till June 30, 2024 subject to conditions and payment of one time penalty.
