Mysuru: Mysore District Athletic Association (MDAA) will be conducting selection trials for both boys and girls under the age groups of 14, 16, 18 and 20 years at Chamundi Vihar Stadium in Nazarbad tomorrow (Aug. 2) from 8 am. The selected athletes will represent Mysuru district in the upcoming Karnataka State Athletics Meet 2026 to be held at Sri Kanteerava Stadium, Bengaluru, on Aug. 12 and 13.

Boys and Girls in U-14 category should be born between Oct. 29, 2012 and Oct. 29, 2014, U-16 category between Oct. 29, 2010 and Oct. 29, 2012, U-18 category between Oct. 29, 2008 and Oct. 29, 2010 and U-20 between Oct. 29, 2006 and Oct. 29, 2008.

Events for U-14: Triathlon (A) — 60 mts, long jump, high jump; Triathlon (B) — 60 mts, long jump, shot put; Triathlon (C) — 60 mts, long jump, 600 mts; U-16: 60 mts, 80 mH, 600 mts, high jump, long jump, shot put, javelin throw; U-18: 100 mts, 200 mts, 400 mts, 1000 mts, long jump, high jump, 110 mts hurdles, shot put, discus throw and javelin throw and U-20: 100 mts, 200 mts, 400 mts, 800 mts, 1500 mts, 5000 mts, 110 mts hurdles, shot put, discus throw and javelin throw.
