ATI Guest House case | Take back furniture from IAS Officer Rohini Sindhuri: Former Dy.Mayor

June 3, 2024

Mysore/Mysuru: Former Deputy Mayor V. Shylendra has demanded the authorities concerned to take back the furniture of Administrative Training Institute (ATI) Guest House, taken away by  IAS Officer and previous Deputy Commissioner of Mysuru Rohini Sindhuri.

Addressing media persons at Patrakarthara Bhavana in the city on Friday, Shylendra termed it as an act of theft on the part of Sindhuri, which is a fit case for initiating action than issuing a notice to deduct Rs.77,296 from her salary towards the expenses of furniture and other household items.

Questioning the propriety of ATI to issue the notice, Shylendra said, the ATI Guest House is a heritage building with the furniture having antique value. They are mostly made of Rosewood and valued at several crores of rupees. But, the amount to be deducted from the IAS Officer is too meagre, which is totally unfair, argued Shylendra.

Taking all these key points into cognisance, the IAS Officer should be asked to return the furniture intact. If there was any inordinate delay in returning them, a protest will be staged in front of the offices concerned and also the residence of Sindhuri, warned Shylendra. Ningaraju, Amithraj, Jeevan and Manjesh were present at the press meet.
