‘Attack on Covid Warriors will not be tolerated’

Mangaluru: City Police Commissioner N. Shashi Kumar on Saturday said that any attack on Covid warriors will not be tolerated.

Speaking to reporters here, he said that the Police Department was investigating the recent case of assault on doctors in the city and also regarding the allegation that a Covid positive pregnant woman was denied treatment.

He said the Department has arrested two persons in the case of assault on doctors on duty and is on the lookout for the main accused. 

The statement of the woman too has been secured and the same has been forwarded to the Deputy Commissioner for further action, he said.
