Mysuru: Nazarbad Police have arrested a person on charges of attempting to assault a Police Constable for questioning him for breaking traffic rules besides obstructing a Government servant to perform his duty.

It is reported that the arrested person, identified as Majeeb, on May 2 at about 8 pm was coming on a one-way road on a Honda Dio scooter (KA-55 W-0579) with five children aged 7-8 years and was stopped by Traffic Constable Armugam who was on duty near the DPO Circle.

When Constable Armugam questioned Majeeb, he (Majeeb) began to argue with the Cop and tried to assault him. The public, who had gathered at the spot, broke the fight between the two and Constable Armugam lodged a complaint at Nazarbad Police Station.

Nazarbad Police, who registered a case in this regard, have arrested Majeeb.
