Attempt to grab land by producing fake documents

Jayapura Police register case against eight accused

Mysore/Mysuru: Jayapura Police have registered a case against eight persons including two Policemen on charges of providing false information and fake documents to the Revenue Department officials to grab land.

Based on the complaint by K.C. Malegowda of D. Salundi village, cases have been registered against Kalamma, wife of late Karigowda and her children Shankaregowda, Basavegowda, Basappa, Shivamma and Malegowda of D. Salundi and B. Suresh and B. Parashivamurthy, Police staff of Bengaluru and Mysuru respectively.

According to the complaint, K.C. Malegowda has alleged that Malegowda alias Kivudagalammana Malegowda’s family members Kalamma and her children had created a fake document stating that they were the family members of his (K.C. Malegowda) father late Kalachikkegowda and uncle late Ramegowda and had got a joint katha done for the land measuring 1 acre and 12 guntas in Survey No. 36/2 in Jayapura village and were trying to cheat. K.C. Malegowda has also stated that Police staff Suresh and Parashivamurthy were supporting Kalamma and her children in their attempt to grab the land.
