Mysore/Mysuru: Krishnaraja (KR) Police, have taken one person into their custody after he was caught trying to steal calves at K.R. Mohalla on Tuesday night. His accomplices fled from the spot after the cattle owner shouted for help.

According to the complaint lodged by Mahesh, a resident of Harishchandra Ghat Road in K.R. Mohalla, he had tied the calves outside the compound on Tuesday and at about 7 pm, he heard some sound and when he came out, he saw three persons tying the legs of the calves and one among them had lifted a huge boulder to smash the head of a calf.

He has further stated in the complaint that after he raised an alarm which alerted the neighbours, the miscreants tried to escape on a scooter but fell down and by the time the people ran towards them, two had fled on the scooter and they were able to catch the other one.

K.R. Police, who have registered a case, are investigating.
