Attention diversion: Miscreant steals valuables worth Rs. 1 lakh from car

Mysuru:  A miscreant has made away with a laptop and other valuables worth about Rs. 1 lakh, kept in the car after diverting the attention of the person who was behind the wheels on Sayyaji Rao Road here on Tuesday evening.

Two persons, identified as Arun Ferdinand and L. Shivakumar of Bengaluru, had come to city in their Toyota Innova (KA-01 AC-5933) car on some work on Tuesday morning.

After finishing their work, the duo, who were proceeding on Sayyaji Rao Road, stopped in front of Lakshmi Textiles as Shivakumar wanted to buy some clothes and the latter went to the shop leaving Arun behind.

Meanwhile, a person, aged about 40 years, approached Arun and showed him some currencies fallen on the road, prompting Arun to get down from the car.

When Arun returned to the car after collecting the currency notes, he found the bag in which a laptop, documents and other items worth about Rs. 1 lakh, which was kept on the seat missing. Arun has lodged a complaint at Devaraja Police Station in this regard.
