Auto driver snatches mobile phone from passenger

Mysuru:  An incident of an autorickshaw driver demanding more money from a passenger and later snatching his mobile phone when he refused to pay more, has been reported near Dasappa Circle on KRS Road in city on Tuesday night.

The person, whose mobile phone was snatched, has been identified as Sadananda Jevoora, a resident of Metagalli in city.

On Tuesday night at about 11.45, Sadananda was waiting near Dasappa Circle to catch a city bus to his home. As the bus did not turn up, Sadananda, decided to proceed to his house in an autorickshaw, but the auto driver demanded Rs.300 from Sadananda, who refused. The auto driver then took Sadananda to some distance where he allegedly snatched the mobile phone of Sadananda and fled from the spot, according to Police.

Devaraja Police, who have registered a case in this regard, are investigating.
