Mysore/Mysuru: D. Devaraj Urs Backward Classes Community Development Corporation has invited applications from eligible small and micro farmers for availing loans and subsidies under Ganga Kalyana Scheme for the year 2022-23.
Those coming under Karnataka Nomadic and Semi-Nomadic Development Corporation and Karnataka Vishwakarma Communities Development Corporation are eligible to apply.
Small and micro farmers should be permanent residents of the State and must be aged between 18 and 60 years. They must have farmlands which are dry without any irrigation facilities. The annual income of those residing in rural areas must not exceed Rs. 98,000 while those at urban areas must not exceed more than Rs. 1,20,000.
Applicants must have a minimum of 2 acre land. They must own at least one acre of land in Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, Uttara Kannada, Kodagu, Hassan, Chikkamagalur or Shivamogga. An amount of Rs. 2.50 lakh loan is fixed for sinking borewell out of which Rs. 2 lakh is financial assistance and Rs. 50,000 is the loan amount with 4 percent interest. For sinking borewells in Bengaluru Urban, Bengaluru Rural, Ramanagara, Chikkaballapura, Kolar and Tumakuru Districts, Rs. 4 lakh is the fixed loan amount out of which Rs. 3.50 lakh is the financial assistance and Rs. 50,000 is the loan amount with 4 percent interest.
Aadhaar number of the farmers must be linked to their bank accounts. They must have not availed any benefits from the Development Corporation before.
