Mysuru: Bhramara Trust of Y.T. and Madhuri Thathachari, Mysuru, has organised a programme at Alwar Kalabhavan, Sri Krishna Temple premises, Gokulam, on Jan.18 at 6 pm to present Prof. G.T. Narayana Rao Award to young saxophonist Vid. Harish Pandav.
G.N. Ananthavardhana will be the chief guest. Dr. Rama V. Bennur will be the guest of honour on the occasion.
Vid. Harish Pandav will present a Saxophone Concert after the award ceremony. He will be accompanied by Vid. C.N. Thyagarajan on violin, Vid. Sai Shiva on mridanga and Vid. Sharath Koushik on ghata.

Vid. Harish Pandav is a talented and versatile saxophone artiste from Mysuru. He has performed all over India like Youth Festival at Gayana Samaja, Bengaluru, Yuva Sourabha, Bengaluru and Sri Gamaka Sangeetha Sabha, Hyderabad. He is a graded artiste of AIR and is involved in Music direction for movies.
He is a recipient of many awards including Sri Seetharamotsava Kala Puraskara from Academy, Rajyotsava award from Kannada and Culture Department and Kala Sourabha award from Dasara Committee.
He has learnt saxophone from Vid. N. Jayaram, Vid. H.A. Ningaraj Pandav and from Vid. K.N. Krishna Murthy. He is a MA in Music.
Vid. N. Srinath had training from stalwarts K.G. Kanakalakshmi, Dr. S. Ramanathan, R.K. Narayana Swamy, R.N. Thyagarajan and R.N. Tharanathan.
He is a B-Grade artiste of AIR. He is known for his pristine music. He has performed in very prestigious Sabhas both in India and abroad. He has Vidwat degree in Music.
He has won many prizes and awards. He stood first in AIR Music Competition. He is presently working at Pramathi Hillview Academy, Mysuru.
