Mysore/Mysuru: Four endowment awards instituted by senior journalist K.V. Srinivasan (Brother) at Mysore District Journalists Association (MDJA) will be presented on July 7 at 10 am at Sri Rajashekar Koti Hall, Pathrakartara Bhavan, on Tyagaraja Road in city.

Senior journalist and TSR Awardee D. Mahadevappa and Director of Akashvani Mysuru S.S. Umesh will be the chief guests and present the awards, in the presence of former Akashvani reporter Srinivasan.

The awardees are as follows: R. Suvarna of Nagara Belaku for ‘Mahatma Gandhi’ Award from print media, M.A. Sriram of The Hindu for ‘Janakamma Venkatappa Gowda’ Award from photographer’s section, S. Manjunath (Beechanahalli Manju) of Mysuru Mithra, H.D. Kote for K.V. Srinivasan Award from rural category and Bapu Lingaraja Urs of Mysuru Mithra (formerly of Kasturi TV) for ‘JP Memorial Media Award’ from visual media category.

MDJA President S.T. Ravikumar and General Secretary M. Subramanya have, in a press release, requested all journalists to attend the award ceremony.
