Awareness on voting through street plays

Mysuru:  Under the Election Commission’s Systematic Voters Education and Electoral Practice (SVEEP) scheme, Sector officers of every Ward have been engaged in creating awareness among people through street plays for the last two days on exercising their franchise with MCC election scheduled on Aug. 31.

A demo is also being given on usage of Electronic Voting Machines (EVM) and verification through Voters Verification Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) machines.

Two troupes with three artistes in each have been enacting the street plays at prominent places in every Ward and motivating the people to vote to uphold democracy.

The awareness campaign will go on till Aug. 29, according to MCC Additional commissioner G.M. Ravindra.
