Awareness programme held for school children on Ganga river

As part of Ganga Utsav, the Department of Public Instruction held awareness programmes on the history, sanctity, holiness and hygeinity of Ganga river, in various schools of the district recently. The awareness programmes featured essay competition, Dance, Drama and Quiz contests focusing on the history of holy Ganga river.

School children enacted plays that highlighted the significance of rivers in maintaining ecological balance.  The plays were aimed at educating students on the need to save and conserve our rivers for future generations, according to a release issued by the DDPI, Mysuru.
