Mysuru: The Karnataka Renewable Energy Development Limited (KREDL) Branch Office, Mysuru, launched a drive to educate the staff and workers of N. Ranga Rao and Sons Pvt. Limited to adopt renewal energy systems. The aim of the KREDL is to create awareness about current energy crisis.
D.K. Dinesh Kumar, Project Engineer, KREDL, explained about the progress of renewable energy in India and Karnataka. He talked about the various subsidy schemes offered by Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, and asked the people to install roof-top grid connected system. He highlighted about NABARD scheme for rural domestic solar home light systems and solar water pumping systems.
He also said how the renewable energy and conservation opportunities can be implemented at factory and in domestic sector.
There was a demonstration of various solar equipment such as solar home lighting system, solar street lights, parabolic cooker, box type cooker and solar lanterns.
CEO Suresh, Vice-President- HR C. Dinesh, Vice-President -Supply Chain M.S. Venkobarao, Unit Head, staff and workers were present, according to a press release from the KREDL Project Engineer.
