‘Ayamotsava’ Theatre-Dance Fest

Mysore/Mysuru: The city’s Ayama Academy of Fine Arts will be conducting ‘Ayamotava,’ a three-day Theatre and Dance Festival at Kalamandira in the city from Sept. 29 to Oct. 1.

Addressing a press meet here yesterday, Academy Director Dr. S.V. Shambhavi Swamy said noted Theatre Director K. Shivalingaiah will inaugurate a Book Expo on Sept. 29 at 5 pm while Rangayana Deputy Director Nirmala Mathapathi will inaugurate a Painting Exhibition. KSGH Music and Performing Arts University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Nagesh V. Bettakote will inaugurate ‘Ayamotsava’ Festival at 6 pm the same day. Renowned Danseuse Dr. Vasundhara Doraswamy will be present.

Continuing, Dr. Shambhavi Swamy said that on Sept. 30, a Seminar on ‘Dance Studies’ will be held at 9.30 am.

On Oct. 1, noted Danseuse Dr. Vasundhara Doraswamy and Theatre Director Mime Ramesh will present a lecture, she said adding that veteran Theatre Director C. Basavalingaiah will preside.
