Bengaluru: Shikaripura MLA B.Y. Vijayendra who has been appointed as new State BJP President will be assuming charge in a mega convention planned at Bengaluru Palace Grounds on Nov. 15 at 1 pm.

According to party sources, Vijayendra who is the son of former Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa will be receiving the charge of his new role from outgoing party President Nalin Kumar Kateel, in the presence of lakhs of party workers.

Apart from the State leaders, even the national leaders of the party are expected to descend on that day. Apart from taking the reins of the party, the convention will be more of Vijayendra’s show of strength, it is said.
