First-ever UnTame Ruck Run held in city

Mysuru: Over 150 participants took part in the first-ever UnTame Ruck Run held in city this morning. 

The event, organised by RE3 Command Fitness, was held at Srinagar located on Dadadanahalli Road near Mysore Airport at Mandakalli.

The run, held in three categories — competitive, non-competitive and kids — witnessed about 150 participants  taking part in the event. Ruck Run involves male athletes covering 16 kms run carrying a load of 9 kgs, female athletes carrying 4.5 kgs and kids racing with a load of 2.3kgs.

Daniel Langat of Kenya emerged as the fastest male in the competitive category completing the run in 1 hour 7 minutes while Lovely  Tiwari of Uttar Pradesh emerged as the fastest female athlete completing the race in 1 hour 23 minutes. The winners were handed over a cheque of Rs.10,000 each.
