Mysuru: Paleyanda Supreetha Ponnappa, a Mysurean, who has been conducting research on developing bio-sensor for detecting micro RNAs and DNA, was recently awarded the High Achiever HDR Student Award by Queensland University of Technology (QUT), Australia.
Supreetha, who is pursuing her Ph.D from QUT, is an emerging scientist in the field of Polymer Science. She has published many articles in peer reviewed journals and has presented many papers at National and International conferences. A young scientist, Supreetha is keen to take her work to next level of inventing ground breaking technology in the field of sensors.
She is the daughter of Advocate Paleyanda C. Ponnappa and Kallengada T. Bhagyavathi, residents of Vijayanagar 3rd Stage. Her brother P.P. Santhosh is serving as Inspector in Udayagiri Police Station, Mysuru.
Supreetha is a B.E graduate and a gold medallist in M.Tech (Polymer Engineering) from SJCE, Mysuru.
