Mysuru: Mohd. Fathil Bin Mohd Ismail and S.V.Anitha, post-graduate students in the Department of Biotechnology, University of Mysore (UoM) have secured first place in the poster competition held in Centre for Biotechnology, Anna University, Chennai, as part of “BIOTECHCELLENCE 2017,” a three-day conference conducted recently.
The project was guided by H.M. ManuKumar, research fellow under the guidance of Dr. S. Umesha, Associate Professor in the same Department.
Biotechcellence, which was said to be a blending of various intellect, ingenuity, and imagination, is known to be a National-level Technical Symposium born from the co-operative efforts of Centre for Biotechnology (CBT) and Association of Biotechnologists, India.
The symposium aimed at highlighting the advancements of Biotechnology in the Industrial, Medical, and Agricultural fields that have taken place over the years. About 100 students pursuing undergraduate, postgraduate degrees and Ph.D participated in the poster presentation.
